The City of Powell is asking residents to bring their ideas and voices to the table as the Village Green Master Plan moves into its second phase. A community workshop is scheduled for Wednesday, October 15 from 5:30 to 7:30 PM at Powell City Hall.
The Village Green Master Plan is a long-term effort to reimagine Powell’s 12-acre civic core, which includes Village Green Park, City Hall, and nearby facilities. It’s a project aimed at strengthening downtown by addressing transportation, parking, and public space needs while creating a more vibrant destination for residents and visitors alike.
What Has Happened So Far
Phase I, launched in 2024, focused on gathering input through surveys, stakeholder interviews, and assessments of existing conditions. Residents shared concerns about mobility, amenities, and downtown infrastructure, and that feedback is now guiding the next steps.
What to Expect at the Workshop
Phase II builds on that groundwork, offering residents a chance to refine priorities and review early redevelopment concepts. The October 15 workshop will follow this schedule:
- 5:30 to 6:00 PM – Welcome and introductions
- 6:00 to 7:00 PM – Small group workshops to discuss ideas and concerns
- 7:00 to 7:30 PM – Sharing planning opportunities and potential solutions
City leaders and the project consultant, Pizzuti Solutions, will be on hand to guide discussions and collect community feedback.
Registration can be accomplished here.
Looking Ahead
The Phase II process is expected to wrap up by summer 2026, with ongoing updates shared with residents along the way. City officials stress that public participation is crucial to shaping a downtown that reflects Powell’s values and future growth.
