It’s an important process – choosing the right person to guide a city into the future as the person manages a sizeable budget and staff.

The City of Powell has begun that process, launching a search to replace City Manager Steve Lutz, who has been in the position since 1996. During his tenure, the then village has become a city with a population of 14,000.

In its search announcement, the City shared, “This is an exciting opportunity for an executive to work and live in a safe, quaint, small town atmosphere with all of the modern-day conveniences and amenities of a growing city.”

The City is using Ralph Andersen & Associates in the search.

Details including background and degree requirements, in addition to salary details, can be read on the announcement web page.

Applications must be received by the closing date of December 9.
