During the Council meeting on Tuesday night, Mayor Frank Bertone and members of Powell City Council presented The Ganzhorn Suites with a proclamation to show support for the Dementia Friendly Powell Initiative.

The Dementia Friendly designation is awarded to those communities where people with dementia are understood, respected and supported, so that people with dementia can continue to live in the way they want and in the community they choose.

Numerous local partners, experts, professionals and residents are participating in the Dementia Friendly Powell Initiative to create a welcoming, inclusive and compassionate community for those living with dementia and their care givers.

Learn more by contacting Anne Farley, the leader of the Dementia Friendly Powell Initiative, by phone at 614.398.9333 or email crd.powell@ganzhorn.com.
