This year, the annual Powell Mystery Night Out will be taking a slightly different turn, but will still provide participants with a fun experience solving a mystery.

As in years past, clues will be distributed throughout the community. This year, the fun will take place online as well, as the Powell Police Department is partnering with Actionbound, an app for playing interactive digital scavenger hunts.

Access to the app and playing the game are free, and all ages can join in the fun.

Participate any time on Tuesday, August 4 or Wednesday, August 5 by driving or biking around the community and looking for clues.

Mystery Night Out is held in conjunction with National Night Out Against Crime. National Association of Town Watch (NATW) launched the National Night Out Initiative in 1984 in an effort to promote involvement in crime prevention activities, police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie.

Follow the Facebook event page for additional information as the event date nears.
