From the Delaware Police Department:

Officials with Delaware City Schools contacted the Delaware Police Department Wednesday afternoon after students had come forward with information about an individual that may cause harm to others.

Following an initial investigation, police believe the threat may be credible. An individual is currently in police custody and talking with investigators. The investigation remains ongoing and police are diligently working to determine if the threat extends beyond the individual in custody.

Officials have stated that Hayes High School will be closed tomorrow, Thursday, November 8, as this threat remains under investigation.
