Westerville City Schools’ Summer Enrichment Theatre program is bringing “Legally Blonde the Musical” to the stage.

The summer production, open to all Westerville middle and high school students, will be housed at Westerville Central High School and performed July 14-17. Purchase tickets here.

Based on the Amanda Brown novel and 2001 movie of the same name, Legally Blonde hit the stage in 2007 as a musical, featuring original songs by Laurence O’Keefe and Nell Benjamin. Audience members experience the life of Elle Woods, a sorority girl who enrolls in college to win back her ex-boyfriend, only to discover how her knowledge of the law can actually help others. No one has faith in Elle, but she manages to surprise them when she defies expectations while staying true to herself.

In 2021, students presented the musical “Oklahoma!”

Students who participate in the summer enrichment theatre program can earn a .25 elective credit in Theatre Production.
