Olentangy Local Schools is thrilled to unveil two transformative summer programs for 2024, designed to cater to a wide range of student needs and interests. The Summer School program and the Summer Enrichment Experience (SEE) promise an engaging and productive break for students from grades 1 through 12.

Summer School: Advancing Academic Excellence

Starting June 3 and running until July 12, the Summer School program opens its virtual doors to students entering grades 9-12. This initiative is perfect for learners looking to catch up on credits or get ahead in their academic journey. The registration period is from March 1 to May 28, with a cost of $210 per course.

Offerings include a variety of Schoology and APEX courses, ranging from College Prep English and Physical Education to advanced mathematics and history. This virtual setup ensures accessibility and convenience for all students, requiring 80-120 hours of commitment per course to accommodate the accelerated pace.

Important dates for participants include a June 3rd virtual orientation, a June 14th withdrawal deadline for a full refund, Ohio’s State Tests from June 25-27, and a final coursework deadline on July 12. Final grades will be posted by July 26.

SEE: Fostering Creativity and Discovery

The Summer Enrichment Experience (SEE), running from March 1st to May 1st for registration, is an in-person program that encourages students in grades 1-12 to explore beyond the traditional curriculum. SEE combines fun with learning through hands-on STEM activities, arts, athletics, and new media and digital design, all structured to spark creativity and discovery.

SEE sessions will be held in morning and/or afternoon blocks, providing flexible options for families and a dynamic environment for students to thrive in. This program is an ideal choice for those looking to engage in enriching experiences that challenge and inspire.

Embracing Summer Learning

Both the Summer School and SEE programs embody Olentangy Schools’ commitment to providing high-quality, engaging educational opportunities beyond the traditional school year. Whether students aim to advance academically or explore new areas of interest, these programs offer valuable experiences to enrich their learning journey.
