Olentangy Schools is committed to enhancing communication and engagement with families, and one of the key tools in this effort is the partnership with Possip—a platform designed to gather feedback from parents quickly and efficiently. Derived from the words “positive” and “gossip,” Possip offers an easy way for parents to share their thoughts, praise, and concerns with their schools through brief, monthly surveys known as “pulse checks.” These pulse checks can be completed in just a minute via text or email, making it convenient for busy families to stay connected and involved.

How Possip Benefits Families

Possip simplifies the process of staying in touch with your child’s school. Here’s how it works:

  • Monthly Pulse Checks: Every month, parents receive a short survey via text or email. The survey takes only a minute to complete and is available in multiple languages.
  • Share Feedback Easily: Parents can use the survey to share their needs, praise for teachers or staff, questions, or suggestions for improvements. Your name is attached to your feedback, ensuring that school leaders can follow up with you if necessary.
  • Real-Time Communication: With Possip, parents are empowered to communicate their thoughts in real-time, ensuring that their voice is heard and valued.

Supporting Schools with Valuable Insights

Possip not only empowers families but also provides significant support to schools:

  • Actionable Reports: School and district leaders receive detailed reports from Possip that compile all the feedback shared by families. This allows them to quickly identify areas of success and those needing attention.
  • Track Trends: The platform enables schools to monitor trends over time, helping them to respond proactively to the evolving needs of the school community.
  • Promoting Collaboration: Feedback from Possip fosters a culture of collaboration and informed decision-making, ensuring that the school environment continuously improves for both students and staff.

How Your Voice Makes a Difference

The cycle of feedback through Possip is simple yet powerful:

  1. Receive the Pulse Check: Every month, you’ll get a notification via text or email.
  2. Respond: Share your feedback, whether it’s praise, concerns, or suggestions.
  3. Report to the School: Possip compiles the responses and provides a report to your school.
  4. School Response: Your school can then act on the feedback, making changes where needed and sharing your positive comments with staff.
  5. Continuous Improvement: The process repeats, allowing for continuous dialogue between families and schools.

First Pulse Check of the Year

As Olentangy Schools expands Possip across all its schools, the first pulse check for the 2024-25 school year is set to be sent out on Friday, September 6. Parents can expect to see a summary of the feedback collected on the Possip Parent Feedback page of their school’s website.

This partnership with Possip reflects Olentangy Schools’ commitment to ensuring that every family has a voice and that every school continues to grow and improve through meaningful, real-time communication.
