Sunbury is looking for residents to comment on ideas to improve the village’s reservoirs.

To that end, it will be holding a Public Meeting at the reservoirs, north of the gate entrance on the north end of Otis Street. The meeting will take place on May 25 at noon, rain or shine.

The meeting is designed to obtain feedback as the Village completes an application for grant monies to improve the reservoirs for residents’ use by adding fishing piers and walking paths. Your comments and opinions are an important step in this process.

Sunbury’s two reservoirs are located at 250 Otis Street, and encompass more than 20 acres. They are used primarily for fishing, but boating and swimming is not currently allowed.

Reservoir enhancements were considered by Village Council at its May 6 meeting, including the installation of a pedestrian trail. Click here to view a copy of that ordinance.

If you cannot attend this meeting, you may send your comments on this project to the Village Administrator at arothermel@sunburyoho.org . Emails will be accepted through May 25.
