Families with young children will have the opportunity to experience a storytime centered on culture, community, and celebration as the Westerville Public Library hosts an author visit featuring Aya Khalil. The event will take place at the library’s main location, 126 S. State St. in Westerville, and is open to the public with no registration required.

A Storytime Experience for Young Readers

Khalil will read from her book Ramadan for Everyone, offering children and families an engaging introduction to the traditions and meaning of Ramadan. The program is designed for children ages 2 to 7.

Following the reading, attendees can take part in:

  • Hands-on crafts
  • A book signing
  • A book sale featuring Khalil’s titles

Library guidelines note that children must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver (age 18 or older), who should remain present throughout the event.

Part of a Broader Community Initiative

The program is part of the library’s Heritage Month Celebrations, an initiative designed to reflect the diversity of the community while encouraging understanding, respect, and meaningful conversation. April is also Arab-American Heritage Month.
