Westerville’s Park Madness has officially begun! The brackets are set, and now it’s time for YOU to decide which park will emerge as the 2025 champion.

Inspired by the excitement of college basketball’s March Madness, this bracket-style tournament lets residents vote on their favorite parks, round by round, until only one remains. The competition will last three weeks, with each match-up bringing parks one step closer to ultimate victory.

How Does Park Madness Work?

The competition will play out over three weeks through a series of match-ups on social media. Residents will cast their votes to determine which parks advance to the next round, culminating in a final showdown to declare Westerville’s favorite park of 2025.

The tournament’s bracket is determined by the geographical location of each participating park. However, parks currently undergoing renovations have been excluded from this year’s competition, with plans to include them in future editions.

The Voting Schedule

Here’s what to expect throughout the tournament:

  • March 19 – Brackets were revealed on Wednesday
  • March 20-23 – First Round Voting: Parks will go head-to-head, and the winners will advance.
  • March 27-30 – Second Round Voting: The field narrows as top parks battle for a spot in the Final Four.
  • April 2 – Final Four Voting: The competition intensifies with only four parks remaining.
  • April 4 – Championship Voting: The final match-up decides which park claims the title of Westerville’s Best Park in 2025.

Why Get Involved?

Park Madness isn’t just about competition—it’s a fun way for residents to celebrate the green spaces that make Westerville special. Whether you have a favorite trail, playground, or picnic spot, this is your chance to support the parks that mean the most to you.
