The “Make the Connection” series shared by Ohio Wesleyan University is a compendium of stories about the world of internships for OWU students.

These students find experience through the internship process in a number of fields related to coursework. Each provides a bit of “real world” experience that can reinforce or alter career paths. Some are close to home; others take OWU students overseas.

Here are links to the last six postings in the series published in in October and November. Each story permits readers to get up close and personal with a student undertaking exploration into some aspect of learning and culture.

Included in this set are students involved in identifying plant genes and their relationship to gravity; conducting neuroimaging research at Nationwide Children’s Hospital; participating in an Interfaith Leadership Summit; Researching the relationship between public opinion on international hostility; attending the 2022 HackOHI/O Event; Researching food labeling regulations in England; Investigation protein research with a goal of becoming a pharmacist; and using cryo-electron microscopy to study the “Characterization of the Effects of IP6 on Jaagsiekte Sheep Retrovirus (JSRV) Assembly.”

Say that last one quickly three times in a row!
