The Polaris area’s food offerings expanded this week with the opening of Ohio’s very first Maple Street Biscuit Company location.

In fact, it’s the first location for the Tennessee-based chain out of the American south.

According to the chain’s website, Maple Street was founded ten years ago by Scott Moore and Gus Evans as a “…true community store and safe haven.” Each location is guided by four principles: Comfort Food with a Modern Twist; Gracious Service; Immaculately Clean Stores; and Sustainable Business practices.

The restaurants are, of course, known for their biscuits made with real butter, artisanal flour, buttermilk, and at least one special ingredient. The menu, which can be viewed here, includes named biscuits such as “The Squawiking Goat,” which includes battered chicken strips, toasted goat cheese, and scratch-made, sweet-not-spicy pepper jelly; biscuits and gravy dishes; waffles; and more. The chain also produces its own coffee using the finest Arabica beans from Central and South America.

The new Maple Street Biscuit Co. is the chain’s 56th and is located at 1310 Polaris Parkway, next to Spectrum and just off the parking lot that faces Macy’s and Saks Fifth Avenue.

Maple Street’s opening hours are Monday through Saturday from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM and Sunday from Noon to 6:00 PM.
