An important piece of local history is currently being renovated and, with its impending availability, is being advertised for lease.

The former CCC&I or Big Four Depot, which we have previously profiled here on 1808Delaware (our story can be accessed here) is located at 60 Lake Street and has 6.818 square feet of leasable space.

The redevelopment of the site is designed to showcase the distinct character of the former train depot building, promising a blend of historical charm and modern convenience. The building is currently undergoing renovation by Columbus-based RiverWest Partners, with plans to deliver a finished product that accentuates the classical and historical features of the original architecture.

The property, built in 1900 and now being revitalized for a 2023 release, will offer three distinct spaces available for lease. These include a 2,798 SF space on both the 1st and 2nd floors, and a 1,222 SF space on the 3rd floor. Each space is listed with a negotiable term and a rental rate of $22.00 per square foot per year, under a Triple Net (NNN) lease.

According to RiverWest, potential tenants can expect dynamic space plans suitable for restaurant and/or retail options in this one-of-a-kind building. The renovated space will be turned over in a ‘gray box’ condition, and will include exterior patios and seating areas.

The Delaware Rail Depot site is adjacent to the Riverfront District, identified as a key development area by the city of Delaware. This includes the nearby Mill on Flax project, further underscoring the rapid growth and development of the area.

This is a unique opportunity to lease space in a unique historical building.
