The Planning Commission for the City of Delaware will be considering a request at its meeting next Wednesday concerning a proposed fast food restaurant development on West Central Avenue.

Carrols Corporation has made application to the City for approval of a Final Development Plan related to the placement of a new Burger King Restaurant at 1034 West Central Avenue. The facility would be on a 1.14 acre site near Ace Hardware and First Commonwealth Bank. The restaurant would be 2,981 square feet in size with a double drive-thru and associated 40 car parking lot.

The existing house on the site would be demolished for this development, and the restaurant would have a brick exterior with Sandusky share limestone columns.

The staff recommendations to be made to the Planning Commission include approval with several conditions, among which are review of lighting plans, use of Delaware blue limestone, and additional plantings.

The Commission will meet at 6:30 PM in City Council Chambers.
