On Tuesday, September 2, Olentangy Schools will open the doors of Olentangy Orange High School for a special evening dedicated to helping families navigate the district’s technology and communication systems. The event runs from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM, with a Tech Support and Partner Fair kicking things off.

A Roadmap for Parents

The night is designed to simplify how parents and guardians access important information. District staff will walk families through three “lanes” of Olentangy’s digital highway:

  • Administrative Information: PowerSchool, with access to grades, attendance, lunch money, transportation, and forms.
  • Learning and Assignments: Schoology and Seesaw, where homework, classwork, and teacher updates are posted.
  • School Communication: Tools like the district website, mobile app, and ParentSquare, ensuring parents stay connected with teachers and administrators.

Hands-On Help

Families will have the opportunity to:

  • Set up accounts and notification preferences.
  • Learn how to find the information they need most.
  • Create personalized communication plans.
  • Access multilingual support.
  • Connect with other families and share experiences.

The evening will also include a vendor and partner fair, where community partners and district vendors will showcase resources and answer technology-related questions.

Q&A Session

Following the support sessions, district staff will host a question-and-answer period from 7:15 PM to 7:30 PM. The Olentangy technology team will also be on hand throughout the night to troubleshoot and guide families through any challenges.
