This fall, the Delaware Public Health District is taking health services on the road. From Sunbury to Westerville, the district’s Mobile Clinic Tour is making stops across the county, offering residents convenient access to vaccinations, screenings, cribs, and other resources.
The tour runs from early September through mid-November, with locations that include town squares, libraries, community centers, and even the Delaware County Fairgrounds. The aim is to meet people where they are, reducing barriers to basic healthcare and making it easier for families to keep up with preventive care.
Why the Mobile Clinic Matters
The public health team knows not everyone can easily make it to a doctor’s office. Work schedules, transportation, and other responsibilities can make routine health visits hard to fit in. By rolling into neighborhoods, the mobile unit brings services to familiar, central spots where residents already gather.
The clinics don’t require appointments, though scheduling ahead is encouraged. That flexibility is designed to keep the process simple, whether someone is stopping by on their lunch break or visiting with their children after school.
When and Where to Find It
The fall schedule includes:
- September 14–17: Multiple days at the Delaware County Fairgrounds, with hours ranging from 11:00 AM–7:00 PM
- September 22: Powell Police Department, 10:00 AM–12:00 PM
