Vertiv is making a significant new investment in Ohio that places Westerville squarely at the center of its future growth, reinforcing the city’s role as a hub for global digital infrastructure. The headquarters is located in Delaware County and is in The North Growth Corridor.
Joined by Mike DeWine and a coalition of state and regional economic development partners, the company announced plans to invest approximately $50 million to expand its Westerville headquarters campus and its manufacturing facility in Ironton. The projects are expected to create up to 730 new jobs statewide by 2029, including about 210 positions in Westerville.
Westerville Drives the Next Phase
While the Ironton expansion will significantly increase manufacturing capacity, the Westerville headquarters is where Vertiv is concentrating its long-term strategic growth. The expansion will support increased demand for roles across engineering, sales, services, and project management, strengthening the company’s ability to design, deploy, and manage the infrastructure behind AI, high-performance computing, and next-generation data centers.
“Westerville is proud to be home to Vertiv’s global headquarters, and this expansion is exciting news for our entire community,” said City Manager Monica Dupee. “Beyond the jobs being created, this expansion reinforces Westerville’s role in supporting business growth, attracting talent and building a strong local economy for the future.”
The investment also includes support from a $1 million JobsOhio grant in Delaware County, along with additional state incentives, underscoring the strategic importance of the Westerville campus within Ohio’s broader economic development framework.
Ohio at the Center of the AI Economy
State leaders framed the announcement as part of Ohio’s expanding role in the national technology and AI supply chain.
“Vertiv’s growth here is a testament to Ohio’s integral role in the technology industry,” said Governor DeWine. “Ohio has the best workforce in the nation, and we are proud that Ohioans will be on the leading edge of Vertiv’s work to establish and strengthen the AI supply chain.”
Ohio’s technology sector now employs more than 108,000 people and contributed an estimated $34.7 billion to the state’s economy in 2025, according to state officials.
A Coordinated Statewide Investment
The expansion reflects a coordinated effort involving Ohio Department of Development, JobsOhio, Ohio Southeast Economic Development, and the Columbus Partnership. Together, those partners are supporting Vertiv’s efforts to expand both its talent base and production capacity, reinforcing Ohio’s position in a sector that continues to attract global investment.

Manufacturing Supports the System, Westerville Leads It
In Ironton, Vertiv will expand and upgrade its manufacturing operations, increasing capacity for liquid cooling and chilled water systems essential to high-density computing environments. The facility is expected to add approximately 520 jobs across production, maintenance, engineering, and supervisory roles.
But those manufacturing gains are closely tied to the company’s broader operational ecosystem—anchored in Westerville. From engineering and design to sales and execution, the headquarters campus functions as the coordinating center for Vertiv’s global operations, linking Ohio-based innovation with worldwide deployment.
A Long-Term Commitment
Vertiv’s roots in Ohio stretch back more than 60 years to its origins as Liebert Corporation. Today, the company operates 14 facilities across the state, spanning research, testing, manufacturing, and customer support.
