Lewis Center’s newest drive-through coffee stand is arriving with considerably more than a ribbon and a pair of oversized scissors. 7 Brew Coffee is preparing to open at 6270 Pullman Drive with nearly two weeks of events, beginning with a Lewis Center Area Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting on Monday, August 17 at 11:30 AM. Preview sessions, free-drink hours and a T-shirt giveaway will then carry the celebration through Saturday, August 29.

The Pullman Drive stand becomes the first 7 Brew in Lewis Center and the company’s second Delaware County location. Another opened earlier this summer at 1424 Sunbury Road in Delaware.

A Full Calendar of Free Drinks

Although the chamber’s ribbon cutting takes place August 17, the company’s promotional calendar identifies Monday, August 24 as Opening Day. Before that, customers will get several opportunities to sample the menu during Friends & Family sessions:

  • Friday, August 21 from 7:00–10:00 AM and 3:00–6:00 PM
  • Saturday, August 22 from 9:00 AM–12:00 PM and 3:00–6:00 PM
  • Sunday, August 23 from 10:00 AM–2:00 PM

Free small drinks will be offered during those periods, with one drink available for each customer present.

The giveaways continue during Community Hours from Monday, August 24 through Friday, August 28. Free small drinks will be available each day from 8:00–9:00 AM, 12:00–1:00 PM and 5:00–6:00 PM. The celebration concludes with Swag Day on Saturday, August 29 from 5:30 AM–11:00 PM. Customers purchasing a large drink will receive a free 7 Brew T-shirt while supplies last, according to the opening flyer.

From Seven Stands to More Than 700

The company reaching Lewis Center barely existed outside its home market a few years ago. 7 Brew was founded in Northwest Arkansas in 2017 and had grown to seven stands by early 2020. That January, an investment group purchased the business and began operating it as Brew Culture LLC, revising the menu and drive-through operation while preparing the brand for national growth.

The expansion came quickly. According to the company’s history, 7 Brew grew from 38 stands in January 2023 to more than 700 across 38 states. The chain now says it serves more than one million drinks each day.

The Lewis Center stand is operated by Motley 7 Brew, a franchise group established in January 2023 by Tom Cook, Rick Nader, Orangewood Investments and other partners. The group began in Ohio before expanding into Georgia and the Dallas-Fort Worth market. Its long-term ambition is to operate more than 350 stands, according to the company’s website.

Far More Than Coffee

Despite the name, customers do not have to be coffee drinkers to find something on the menu. The 7 Brew menu stretches across coffee, energy drinks, flavored sparkling sodas, teas, chai, matcha, lemonades, smoothies and shakes. With combinations of flavors, milk choices, sweetness levels and sugar-free options, the company claims more than 20,000 possible drinks. Its signature coffee selections include the Blondie, made with vanilla and caramel; the Sweet & Salty, combining salted caramel and white chocolate; and the Smooth 7, which blends Irish cream and white chocolate with espresso and breve mix.

That abundance of choices is central to the concept. A customer can order something recognizable, such as a mocha or cold brew, or assemble a combination unlikely to appear on a traditional coffeehouse menu.

Built for Drivers

A 7 Brew stand is not intended to function like a neighborhood café where customers settle into chairs with laptops and pastries. The company concentrates on beverages, speed and direct interaction between employees and customers. Its compact stands typically place the building between two drive-through lanes. Instead of speaking into a menu-board microphone, customers often place orders directly with employees moving between the vehicles. Drinks are then prepared inside the stand and delivered to the car.

The company also introduced a mobile app on August 12, just before the Lewis Center opening. Customers can use it to order ahead, save customized drinks and accumulate rewards.

That combination of a small physical footprint, a large menu and rapid service has allowed 7 Brew to spread quickly into suburban commercial corridors. Pullman Drive fits that model, placing the new stand near the growing retail concentration serving Lewis Center, Orange Township and the Polaris area. A separately planned stand at 4087 Powell Road will eventually give Powell its own 7 Brew. For now, however, the celebration belongs to Lewis Center, with plenty of free drinks waiting before the first full week is over.
