Work continues on the region’s roadways. Below is information from the Ohio Department of Transportation for improvement and construction projects for Delaware and Franklin Counties during the coming week. As always, work is weather dependent.

DELAWARE

New Impacts

SR 229 Bridge Rehabilitation

  • SR 229 east of Weiser Rd. will close starting Monday, October 5 for 30 days.
    • Detour: U.S. 23 to SR 98 to SR 529 to SR 756 to U.S. 42 to SR 229 or reverse

Continuing Impacts

SR 229 Resurfacing

  • SR 229 between U.S. 23 and the Village of Ashley will have various daytime lane restrictions (7 a.m. – 7 p.m.) starting Monday, May 11 through Fall 2026.

I-71/U.S. 36/SR 37 Sunbury Parkway

  • The I-71 northbound ramp to U.S. 36/SR 37 will be reduced to one lane starting Wednesday, April 8 through Fall 2026.

U.S. 23 Spot Pavement Repairs

  • U.S 23 northbound between Hills Miller Rd and SR 229 will be reduced to one lane daily (7 p.m. – 3 p.m.) starting Monday, August 10th through Fall 2026
  • U.S 23 southbound between Hills Miller Rd and SR 229 will be reduced to one lane daily (7 p.m. – 3 p.m.) starting Monday, August 10th through Fall 2026

FRANKLIN

New Impacts

U.S. 33/Petzinger Road Improvements

  • The Winchester Pike northbound ramp to U.S. 33westbound will close overnight (9 p.m. – 5 a.m.) Thursday, September 24.
    • Detour: Winchester Pike to James Rd. to I-70 westbound to Livingston Ave. to U.S. 33 westbound
  • The U.S. 33eastbound ramp to Winchester Pike southbound will close overnight (9 p.m. – 5 a.m.) Thursday, September 24.
    • Detour: U.S. 33 eastbound to SR 104/Refugee Rd. to Winchester Pike

I-270 Resurfacing

  • I-270 southbound at I-70 on the southeast side will be reduced to one lane starting 7 p.m. Friday, September 25 through 5 a.m. Monday, September 28.
  • The I-70 eastbound ramp to I-270 southbound on the southeast side will close starting 7 p.m. Friday, September 25 through 5 a.m. Monday, September 28.
    • Detour: I-70 eastbound to Brice Rd. To I-70 westbound to I-270 southbound.

I-70 Pavement Reconstruction

  • The I-70 westbound ramps to Hilliard Rome Rd. will close overnight (7 p.m. – 5 a.m.) Sunday, September 27.
    • Detour: I-70 westbound to SR 142 to I-70 eastbound to Hilliard Rome Rd.

I-71/Main St. Interchange Improvements

  • The I-71 southbound ramp to Main St. will close overnight (9 p.m. – 5 a.m.) starting Sunday, September 27 through Thursday, October 1.
    • Detour: I-71 southbound to Spring St. to Broad St. to Parsons Ave. to Main St.
  • The I-71 southbound ramp to Main St. will close starting 7 p.m. Friday, October 2 through 5 a.m. Monday, October 5.
    • Detour: I-71 southbound to Spring St. to Broad St. to Parsons Ave. to Main St.

Hiawatha Bridge Repairs

  • I-71 northbound between 17th Ave. and Hudson St. will be reduced to one lane overnight (9 p.m. – 5 a.m.) starting Sunday, September 27 through Tuesday, September 29.

I-270/I-71 Interchange Improvements

  • The I-270 westbound ramp to I-71 northbound on the north side will close overnight (9 p.m. – 5 a.m.) Monday, September 28 and Sunday, October 4.
    • Detour: I-270 westbound to I-71 southbound to SR 161 to I-71 northbound.
  • I-71 northbound at I-270 on the north sidewill have various overnight lane closures (9 p.m. – 5 a.m.) Tuesday, September 29 through Thursday, October 1.

I-270/Easton Way Intersection Improvements

  • The I-270 southbound ramp to Easton Way will close overnight (11 p.m. – 8 a.m.) Friday, October 2.
    • Detour: I-270 southbound to SR 317 to I-270 northbound to Easton Way.

U.S. 33 Bridge Work

  • The U.S. 33 westbound ramp to I-270 southbound on the west side will close starting 9 p.m. Friday, October 2 through 5 a.m. Monday, October 5.
    • Detour: U.S. 33 westbound to Avery Rd. southbound to U.S. 33 eastbound to I-270 southbound.

Harrison Rd. Bridge Repairs

  • I-70 westbound between Harper Rd. and Fisher Rd. will be reduced to one lane starting 6 p.m. Friday, October 2 through 6 a.m. Monday, October 5.

I-270/I-71 Interchange Improvements

  • I-71 southbound at I-270 on the north side will close overnight (11 p.m. – 5 a.m.) starting Wednesday, September 23 and Thursday, September 24.
    • Detour: I-270 westbound to SR 315 southbound to I-71 southbound
  • The I-71 southbound ramp to I-270 eastbound on the north side will close overnight (11 p.m. – 5 a.m.) starting Wednesday, September 23 through Friday, September 25.
    • Detour: I-270 westbound to Sawmill Parkway to I-270 eastbound
  • The I-270 westbound ramp to I-71 southbound on the north side will close overnight (11 p.m. – 5 a.m.) starting Wednesday, September 23 through Friday, September 25.
    • Detour: I-270 westbound to I-71 northbound to Polaris Pkwy. to I-71 southbound
  • The I-71 northbound ramp to I-270 westbound on the north side will close overnight (11 p.m. – 5 a.m.) Wednesday, September 23 through Friday, September 25.
    • Detour: I-71 northbound to I-270 eastbound to Cleveland Ave. To I-270 westbound

Far East Freeway

  • Brice Rd. over I-70 will be reduced to one lane in each direction starting Saturday, August 2, 2025. Two left turn lanes on Brice Rd. northbound to I-70 WB will be maintained.

SR 315 Survey Work

  • The Rich/Town St. ramp to SR 315 southbound will close overnight (8 p.m. – 5 a.m.) Sunday, September 20 through Thursday, September 24.
    • Detour: Rich/Town St. to 2nd St. to I-70 westbound to I-71 southbound
  • The SR 315 southbound ramp to I-70 westbound will close overnight (7 p.m. – 5 a.m.) Sunday, September 20 through Thursday, September 24.
    • Detour: SR 315 southbound to I-670 westbound to I-70 westbound

U.S. 33/Petzinger Road Improvements

  • U.S. 33 westbound between I-70 and SR 104 will have various overnight lane restrictions (9 p.m. – 5 a.m.) starting Monday, September 14 for 26 days
