An Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) project to improve the intersection of U.S. 36 at County Road 605 (Condit Road) in Trenton Township in eastern Delaware County is expected to begin next summer.

The project will add a left-turn lane on U.S. 36, install a traffic signal, and make drainage improvements at the intersection. To construct these improvements, 0.437acre of a standard highway easement will be acquired from land owned by Preservation Parks of Delaware County, which is to be developed into a multi-use trail that will be part of the Ohio to Erie Trail system.

ODOT has coordinated the project’s involvement with the proposed multi-use trail with Preservation Parks of Delaware County.

The park district agrees that the project will not adversely affect the protected recreational activities, features or attributes associated with the proposed multi-use trail. As such, the proposed project will have a ‘de minimis’ impact upon the proposed multi-use trail.

Comments concerning the de minimis impact finding may be submitted to Janice Gartner at 400 E. William Street in Delaware, OH 43015 or emailed to [email protected] by July 7, 2019.

The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for these projects are being, or have been carried out by ODOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated June 6, 2018, and executed by FHWA and ODOT.
