Veterans can return to civilian life with complex mental and physical afflictions. These cause behaviors that can involve the criminal justice system.

Recognizing this, the Delaware Municipal Court has created the Delaware Mission Court, a specialized docket providing a year-long program for veterans and active duty personnel charged with misdemeanors. To best serve those who have served our country, Veteran Mentors are needed.

If you are an interested veteran, please attend the August 3 Mentor Training Academy. It will begin at 10 AM at the campus of Columbus State Community College, 5100 Cornerstone Drive in Delaware.

More information is available through Jennifer Stamolis, Docket Coordinator at [email protected]; or Eric Sowers, Mentor Coordinator, at [email protected].
