Olentangy Local Schools have a smart new way to reach students, parents, community members, and others.

The District’s new website is very visually based, with colorful images helping in the navigation process. Six “pillars” of Olentangy Schools take a prominent position — Opportunity, Personal Achievement, Community, Pride, Educational Excellence, and Exceptional Value.

The home page also features a District Calendar of Events and a selection of recent District news items.

As before, the website can be found at: www.olentangy.k12.oh.us.

On Monday, the District announced a back-to-school plan that includes a tiered system of addressing when instruction will take place in person, via a hybrid model, or completely virtually. The “One Olentangy: Back Together 2020” Plan is based on a flexible model, according to communication sent out by Superintendent Mark T. Raiff.

The goal, Raiff shared, will be a daily attendance model beginning on August 31. That said, hybrid and virtual models will be tied to the county’s public health advisory rating as determined by the State of Ohio.

A more complete explanation of how this will work will be distributed this week by Olentangy Schools.
