Good news on the COVID front has resulted in good news on the library front as well.

Delaware County’s reduction from Level 3 to Level 2 has resulted in the Delaware County District Library resuming walkthrough browsing which was in place before the recent jump in the Public Health Advisory System rating.

This resulted in the opening of library doors throughout the county beginning this past Monday.

Public computer use is also available, with reservation information available here.

Hours for all libraries with the exception of the Ostrander Branch are:

  • Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday: 9 AM – 5 PM
  • Tuesday, Thursday: 11 AM – 7 PM
  • Computer Reservations: Monday – Saturday: 1 – 5 PM

Ostrander Branch hours are:

  • Wednesday, Friday, Saturday: 9 AM – 5 PM.
  • Tuesday, Thursday: 11 AM – 7 PM
  • Computer Reservations: Tuesday – Saturday: 1 – 5 PM

The following health guidelines will be in effect:

  • Masks are required of individuals ages 2 and up within a Library building
  • Individuals may still use curbside and drive-up services, as they prefer
  • Staff will still be available to take phone calls, answer emails and website chats
  • Buildings will operate at a limited capacity
  • Individuals are asked to limit time inside the buildings to 1 hour
  • Computer reservations begin at the top of the hour and last 50-minutes
