In 1982, two young entrpreneurs opened restraint in Austin, Texas that was, as shared on its website, “…a Tex-Mex restaurant that served authentic and fresh food in an atmosphere that appealed to everyone.” Chuy’s Tex-Mex restaurants have grown since then.

By 2009, Texas boasted 15 Chuy’s, and that was when it set its sights on expansion.

On Wednesday, the Columbus Dispatch reported that the latest restaurant in the chain will open this fall at 1481 Polaris Parkway, the former home of Smokey Bones.

There has been a Chuy’s location at Easton Town Center for several years, and others are on the way according to the Dispatch article. Other existing Ohio locations include West Chester, Cincinnati, and two restaurants in Dayton.
