CBRE has been awarded the listing assignment by the City of Westerville for two land parcels that represent the final developable tracts of land within the successful Westar development in Delaware County.
“We acquired the 62 acres of land to create Westar Place in 2014. In that time, the city has facilitated growth and the area has become a vibrant, mixed-use locale with newly built headquarters and choice amenities,” said Jason Bechtold, economic director for the city of Westerville. “It took six years for Westar Place to near capacity, which speaks to how desirable Westerville is in the Columbus region.”
Westar Place is home to headquarters for DHL Supply Chain, Central Ohio Primary Care (CPOC), and the Renaissance Columbus Westerville-Polaris Hotel.
CBRE’s John Hall & A.J. Norman will market the land on behalf of their client, The City of Westerville. Parcel E contains approximately 6.5 acres and parcel J contains approximately 5 acres. The land is well positioned for new office development
Located in Delaware County, the fastest growing county in the state, Westar began 21 years ago with the completion of the Maxtown Road/Polaris Parkway extension. Today, Westar is bustling with activity including medical offices, corporate headquarters, and exciting development with high-end amenities.
“Westar was already an attractive destination, and these parcels present an exciting opportunity to develop new office space that is built for the future,” said Hall. “Employers have to contend with more considerations regarding office space than ever before and the possibilities here are almost endless to accommodate those shifting needs.”
