Heartland BancCorp, the parent company of Heartland Bank, has recently made a significant move by opening a new branch at 1754 Columbus Pike in Delaware.

The groundbreaking ceremony took place in September 2022 at the Delaware Community Plaza, marking the bank’s strategic expansion into a region that has been on its radar for some time. G. Scott McComb, the Chairman, President, and CEO of Heartland, expressed enthusiasm about the new venture. “The achievements that the City of Delaware and Delaware County, along with the surrounding community, have been able to achieve are remarkable. We look forward to playing an active role in the future of Delaware County,” he stated.

Now open, the new branch is designed to mirror the universal branch model seen in several of Heartland’s current locations. It features a night drop, drive-thru, and ATM, making it a convenient banking option for the local community. Additionally, the branch includes a community room, which can be used for small gatherings and casual meetings, further emphasizing Heartland’s commitment to community engagement.

Rooted in Community

Heartland Bank isn’t new to the concept of community banking; in fact, it’s in their DNA. The bank traces its roots back to the Croton Bank, founded in the small farming community of Croton, Ohio, in Licking County. Local farmers, who cultivated crops for a living, chose to keep their banking local. This decision not only built strong financial relationships within the neighborhood but also laid the foundation for what would later become Heartland Bank. The bank has a proud history of cultivating these community relationships, and the new branch in Delaware County is a continuation of this legacy.

Branch Amenities and Hours: Designed for Convenience

The new Heartland Bank branch in Delaware, Ohio, is designed with customer convenience in mind. The branch offers a range of amenities, including a night drop for after-hours deposits, a drive-thru for quick transactions, and an ATM for cash withdrawals and other basic services.

The branch operates from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and from 9:00 a.m. to Noon on Saturdays. The branch is managed by AO, Ray Thal, and the VP of Commercial Relationship Management is Michelle Haslinger. These extended hours and leadership team aim to provide a seamless banking experience for the residents of Delaware County.
