The next big attraction at Polaris will send drivers climbing, dropping and turning through an indoor racing course large enough to occupy much of a new 125,000-square-foot entertainment venue.
Supercharged Entertainment has broken ground at 9300 Lyra Drive on a Delaware County destination that the company says will feature the world’s largest indoor, multi-level karting track. Scheduled to open in summer 2027, the complex will combine racing with mission rooms, arcade games, a tower ride, dining and space for group gatherings. The 16-acre property sits among a growing collection of Polaris leisure destinations, including Topgolf and Smash Park, adding another reason to spend an afternoon or evening in an area already known for shopping and restaurants.
Two Tracks and 25 Elevation Changes
Karting will be the centerpiece, with two separately designed tracks featuring a combined 25 elevation changes. Those courses can also be joined into a single, 80,000-square-foot “Supertrack.” The temperature-controlled indoor setting will put racing under one roof throughout the year, with a layout that takes drivers beyond the familiar flat circuit.
Supercharged Entertainment Polaris will follow the design of the company’s Edison, New Jersey, location, which opened in December 2022. Polaris will be the company’s fourth U.S. location.
Plenty to Do Between Races
Visitors who prefer a different kind of competition will have more than 30 mission rooms to explore through an attraction called Time Mission. Teams will choose their own route through physical, mental and skill-based challenges, competing against the clock and for the highest score. A two-story arcade and gaming area will feature nearly 180 games, including virtual reality experiences, along with a prize center.
The planned Drop & Twist Tower will add a different perspective on the building. The two-story ride will spin and drop as it travels through the facility’s floors, giving riders a look at the surrounding attractions along the way.
A full-service restaurant and bar will offer shareable dishes, entrées, cocktails, beer and specialty beverages. Dedicated group and event spaces, with catering available, are also planned for celebrations, company outings and other gatherings.
A Family’s Fifth Entertainment Venue
The Polaris project is led by Stephen and Sandra Sangermano, the company’s president and CEO, respectively. It will be the fifth entertainment venue opened and operated by the Sangermano family.
“Supercharged Entertainment Polaris has something for everyone – couples, families, kids, groups, and companies,” Stephen Sangermano said in announcing the groundbreaking.
That broad audience is reflected in the plans. Racing will be the main draw, but the mix of games, challenges, dining and gathering spaces gives visitors several ways to build an outing around it. For now, the action is on the construction site. If the planned schedule holds, the first drivers will take to the tracks in summer 2027.
