Chris Bauserman, Delaware County Engineer, has released his annual Road Construction Guide.
This publication includes information on road construction projects for the year 2022 and a first look at 2023 work as well. This involves county and township roadways only.
Due to limited space, projects under $250,000 or with road closures less than two weeks are not listed. Schedules listed in this guide are subject to change.
Each listed project includes a brief description, the applicable township, and funding sources. The Guide can be accessed here.
In 2022, 18 such projects are included. They include:
- 2022 County Pavement Resurfacing
- Worthington & Africa Road Intersection
- Lazelle Road Culvert Replacement
- Jewett Road Recreational Trail
- Sawmill Parkway and Home Road Intersection
- Small Bridge Replacement Projects – Miller-Paul Road (2), Hartford Road, Steamtown Road
- Reed Parkway
- Home Road Recreational Trail
- Byxbe Parkway, Phase 1
- Berlin Station and Piatt Road Intersection
- Green Meadows Drive, Home to Lewis Center
- US36/SR37 & Carter’s Corner Road Intersection
- Seldom Seem “S Curve” Realignment
- Berlin Station & Braumiller Road Intersection
For next year, seven road projects have been identified, funding lined up, and engineering begun. They include:
- 2023 County Pavement Resurfacing
- Worthington & Lewis Center Road
- Lewis Center at Future Home Road Extension
- “Old” Sawmill Road & Presidential Parkway
- US36/SR37 & Galena Road
- Steitz Road Widening
- SR3 and Lewis Center Road
