The Delaware County Trails Committee (DCTC) is now accepting applications for its 2025-2026 Trail Assistance Program. With $100,000 in available funding, the initiative aims to support the creation and improvement of multi-use trails across the county. The application deadline is September 12, 2025, at 4 p.m.

Who Can Apply and What Projects Qualify

The program is open to local governments, park districts, and non-profit organizations. Eligible uses for the funds include:

  • Construction of new multi-use trails
  • Trail maintenance and improvement
  • Acquisition of land or easements for trails
  • Local matching funds for other trail-related grants

All applicants must ensure compliance with ADA guidelines and are encouraged to consult the Central Ohio Greenways Design Guidelines when preparing their proposals.

A Vision for a Connected Delaware County

The Delaware County Trails Committee, appointed by the County Commissioners, was formed to advance the 2017 countywide trail master plan. The Trail Assistance Program serves as a key tool to help communities and organizations bring that vision to life, fostering healthier lifestyles, improving mobility, and enhancing recreational opportunities.
