A well-traveled Delaware County thoroughfare will be “down for the count” over the next two weeks as culvert replacement work takes place.

On section of State Route 257 will be closed beginning on Monday at 8 AM until Friday, March 22 at 3 PM. The affected area will be between US36 and Penn Road.

The official detour is as follows: SR 257 to US 36 to Section Line Road to US40 to SR257 – or, of course, the reverse.

The work was scheduled to begin this past week, but was delayed due to cold temperatures.

State Route 257 runs for some 26.19 miles from Dublin to an intersection with State Route 47 near Prospect. It was officially launched in 1926.
