The City of Delaware is poised to begin a three week project to replace traffic signal heads and wiring at the intersections of US36 (William Street) and Houk Road, and SR37 (West Central Avenue) and Houk Road.

The anticipated start date is Monday, January 25.

During the project, periodic lane closures will be required, but traffic will be maintained throughout the duration. The signal may be in flash or completely dark at times, and a law enforcement officer will be present to direct traffic.

Motorists should exercise caution when traveling through the intersections and work zones. Work hours will be 9AM to 3PM.

For questions, please contact the Public Works Department Customer Service Line at 740-203-1810.
