You have one more opportunity to share your vision for Delaware’s future Thursday evening. Through September, four highly interactive workshops have been held, each designed to allow all who attend the chance to provide ideas to help shape the “Delaware Together” comprehensive plan.

These workshops have included a brief presentation with information on the planning process followed by small-group work at which participants will be asked to share thoughts and take part in a mapping exercise.[widgets_on_pages id=1]

The final workshop is on Thursday evening from 6:30 to 8:30 PM at the Second Ward Community Center, 50A Ross Street.

An online survey will be conducted after the workshop to collect additional input. The ideas and the online survey will be used to help shape goals and preliminary focus areas for the new comprehensive plan. Read more at http://delawaretogether.net/

Delaware’s last major comprehensive plan was completed over 10 years ago. According to the effort’s website, “The plan needs to be updated to reflect current trends and priorities while being focused on the future. Regular comprehensive planning represents good stewardship and establishes a foundation for well-supported policies to create the best possible future.”
