Fire Department’s Golden Anniversary and More

Celebrating 50 years of unwavering service, the Genoa Township Fire Department marked a significant milestone in 2023. This year was not just about reflection but also progress, with the department continuing to save lives, pave roads, and ensure the safety of the community. The addition of therapy dog Maverick to the team, certified to work at Westerville Central High School, symbolizes the department’s dedication to emotional well-being alongside physical safety.

Zoning and Development: Shaping the Future

The Zoning Department processed an impressive 357 zoning permit applications, a clear indicator of the township’s growing appeal and development. The comprehensive plan and Zoning Resolution were amended to address community concerns about residential development densities, showcasing the township’s proactive approach to sustainable growth.
