Downtown Delaware is “going to the dogs” from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM on October 5.

October’s First Friday, sponsored by Main Street Delaware, will feature fire trucks and furry friends throughout the downtown.

The Delaware Fire Department will present fire safety information and demonstrations, and we will host our annual pet walk![widgets_on_pages id=1]

With your $10 registration, pets will receive a map of pet friendly locations at which they will receive a treat for their treat bag. To participate in the pet walk, register your pet via our web form  or the Main Street table at First Friday in front of PNC Bank.

As they check-in, registered pets will be photographed for posting in a Main Street Delaware Facebook album. The pet receiving the most “likes” will be named the “Furry Marshal” of Main Street Delaware’s Christmas Parade. In addition, the Delaware County District Library will award best dog costume in honor of their third annual Great GeekFest comic-con.

Pet walk registration will be limited to the first 100 animals.

Plus, your family can pick up a FREE pumpkin from Mad Max Farms, available while supplies last.
