his summer, Zoombezi Bay is celebrating its 15th year! To kick off the festivities, the waterpark is offering Splash Bash through June 15.

Complete with sun-soaked, throwback fun, this event features Character Ambassadors like newly “hatched” Sam Pelican, the biggest musical hits from 2008, specialty food and drink items, and unique merchandise.

These activities and options include:

•    Live entertainment at the wave pool with DJ IQ
•    Meet and greets with the newest Character Ambassador, Sam Pelican, and his friends (Select times)
•    Specialty 15th Anniversary-themed food and retail items available for purchase.

Options include delicious birthday cake ice cream served in a festive pink cone at Hurricane Heather’s Ice Cream, watermelon lemonade at Otter’s Street Tacos, a watermelon margarita at The Sandbar for guests ages 21 years and older, and 15th Anniversary commemorative sipper bottles.

Splash Bash will be held during regular Zoombezi Bay operating hours (10:30 AM to – 7 PM), with the main activities taking place from 1:15 PM to 4:15 PM. This celebration is included with a daily Zoombezi Bay admission ticketZoombezi Bay Season Pass, or Gold Membership.

Other New Features and Exciting Offerings

Pelican Point. Zoombezi Bay’s new-for-2023 attraction, Pelican Point is specifically targeted for young children. Families can experience new interactive features, fun aquatic animals, and small waterslides that are perfect for waterpark fans in training. The area around Pelican Point also features new lounge chairs and additional shaded seating.

New Shade Structures. Six new shade structures have been added to Zoombezi Bay this summer. These structures are found at the Wild Tides wave pool, Cyclone pool area, and Pelican Point.

Zoombezi Bay’s regular season began on May 27, with daily openings through August 13. Zoombezi Bay will then be open weekends only from August 19 through September 4 (Labor Day), followed by the return of ZOMBIEzi Bay, presented by Mtn Dew, starting on September 22.

Guests who plan to visit Zoombezi Bay have the opportunity to ride COTA’s Zoo Bus, which provides a clean, safe ride to and from Zoombezi Bay and the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium from select stops. Riders receive $3 admission to the Zoo or $10 off Zoombezi Bay tickets. The Zoo Bus operates on weekends in May, and daily from Memorial Day (May 29) through Labor Day (September 4).
