Families across Delaware County will have a chance to welcome spring with a classic tradition next weekend as a large community Easter Egg Hunt comes to the Delaware County Fairgrounds.
The free event is scheduled for Saturday, March 21 and organizers say it will be their largest celebration yet. Hosted with the support of Empower Sports and Camps, the afternoon gathering promises a lively mix of egg hunts, games, and family activities designed for children of all ages.
Organizers plan to scatter 10,000 Easter eggs across the grounds, giving young participants plenty to discover as they dash across the field with baskets in hand. In addition to the hunt itself, families can expect photos with the Easter Bunny, candy, games, face painting, prizes, and food.
How the Day Will Work
The event runs from 12:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the fairgrounds, located at 236 Pennsylvania Avenue in Delaware. Hunts will take place in three separate age groups so younger children can participate comfortably.
- Children ages 4 and under: 1:15 PM
- Children ages 5–7: 2:00 PM
- Children ages 8–12: 2:45 PM
Parking at the fairgrounds will be free.
Parents are encouraged to bring a basket for egg collecting and a phone or camera to capture the afternoon.
Registration Required
Although the event is free, families must register in advance so organizers can plan the number of participants for each age group. Attendance is limited in order to keep the experience manageable and enjoyable for children. Reservations can be made online here.

Another Option the Following Week
For families who cannot attend on March 21, a second Easter Egg Hunt is scheduled for Saturday, March 28 at Olentangy High School in Lewis Center. Registration for that event is available here.
