On Monday, October 27 at 6:00 PM, the Friends of the Delaware County District Library invite you to a special literary evening at the Liberty Branch Library. Jane Hamilton, the celebrated author of The Book of Ruth and A Map of the World, will be on hand to share her latest work, The Phoebe Variations. The evening includes a book discussion, signing, and light refreshments — all for $35, which also includes a hardback copy of the novel.

A Voice That Resonates

Jane Hamilton is no stranger to readers who love fiction with depth and heart. A two-time Oprah Book Club author, Hamilton’s novels have earned her a place among the country’s most respected storytellers. With The Phoebe Variations, she returns with a powerful coming-of-age story exploring the bonds between girls and mothers and the uncertain paths toward adulthood. The novel promises the same emotional complexity and lyrical clarity that have defined her past work.

Reserve Your Seat

Doors open at 6:00 PM, and the discussion begins at 6:30 PM. Afterward, Jane will sign books and meet attendees. Additional titles by Hamilton will be available for purchase from Beanbag Books. Space is limited, so early reservations are encouraged.
