In 2014, local government members of MORPC passed a resolution to fix a unified trick or treat date for the region through 2019.

The date was set according to the following formula:

When October 31 falls on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday, Trick or Treat is held on October 31.

This year, therefore, that unified date is Thursday, October 31.

Local communities maintain the authority to change or keep their trick-or-treat day and time. In the event of inclement weather, it will remain on the unified date, and parents will be encouraged to exercise judgment in allowing children to participate.

Area communities that will have trick or treat on that date, and from 6 to 8 PM, include:

  • City of Delaware
  • Genoa Township
  • Liberty Township
  • Orange Township
  • Village of Ostrander
  • City of Powell
  • Village of Sunbury
  • City of Westerville
