On Sunday at approximately 3:00 PM, local law enforcement learned of a grim discovery. Local police officers were dispatched to a residence on Bristol Drive after two residents failed to meet a family member. Upon arrival, officers found two adult residents deceased inside the home, both from apparent gunshot wounds. The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation, Delaware County Coroner’s Office, and Delaware County Prosecutor’s Office were immediately called to assist with the initial on-scene investigation.

Following the discovery, a warrant was filed in the Delaware County Court of Common Pleas for the arrest of twenty-five-year-old Mohamed Lamin Kandeh. The suspect was considered a person of interest in the case, and a multi-agency manhunt was initiated. The Ohio State Highway Patrol and the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office joined forces with the City of Delaware Police Department in a coordinated effort to locate and apprehend Kandeh.

This morning, at 11:00 am, the manhunt came to an end. Mohamed Kandeh was stopped in his vehicle on Maloney Road in the area of McCurdy Road. With the assistance of the Ohio State Highway Patrol and the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office, Kandeh was taken into custody without incident. The arrest was a testament to the effectiveness of multi-agency cooperation and the importance of swift action in the face of serious criminal activity.

With Kandeh now in custody, the focus shifts to the legal proceedings that will follow. The Delaware County Prosecutor’s Office is expected to lead the case, which will be closely watched by a community eager for justice.
