Congratulations to the Delaware Public Health District which, together with 16 other health departments in central Ohio, will be receiving the important William C. Habig Collaborative Achievement Award.

The announcement was made via social media on Monday by the Mid Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC).

In making the announcement, MORPC shared, “We’re proud of our public health professionals for all they have done to keep our community healthy and informed throughout the pandemic.”

The Award itself will be presented at the annual State of the Region event, this year to be held virtually on March 31 from 11:30 AM to 1 PM. This year’s event has a theme of “Our Future Envisioned,” and will highlight regional accomplishments as well as discuss plans for central Ohio as it moves into the future.

According to MORPC, “The William C. Habig Collaborative Achievement award is annually presented to an individual and/or organizations who have achieved an effective effort or innovative collaborative in central Ohio. The honoree(s) will have demonstrated success in developing a specific initiative or entity that supports broad inclusion, diverse thoughts in the process and delivers tangible results addressing key challenges facing the region.”
