The City of Dublin and Dublin Police, committed to working to end the opiate crisis in Central Ohio and around the nation, will be holding a Drug Take Back event this Saturday.

Drug Take Back events provide a free, safe way for community members to rid their homes of potentially dangerous, expired, unused and unwanted prescription and over-the-counter drugs. This limits the exposure to and abuse of drugs in the community.

The service is free and anonymous.

The event will take place from 10 AM to 2 PM at the Dublin Justice Center, 6565 Commerce Parkway, unless otherwise noted. Visit the Justice Center parking lot near the skate park for the drop-off. Enter from the traffic circle and exit at the skate park drive. These are drive-thru events and don’t require you to leave your vehicle.

Additional local Drug Take Back events will take place on October 23 and December 18.

Remember:

  • At this time, the service accepts pills, gel-caps and dry medications.
  • The service does not accept liquids, sharp needles, syringes, inhalers, epinephrine autoinjectors, vaping devices, lancets or aerosol containers.
  • It is preferred that loose medications be sealed in a zip-close bag when dropping off at events.
  • If you must keep medications in their prescription bottles, please cross out personal information or remove labels.
