Join Preservation Parks during the Delaware County Fair from September 14 – 21 for a celebration of nature, history, and space exploration! Located near the Arts & Crafts Building, the Preservation Parks pavilion will host engaging, family-friendly activities all week long as we continue their 50th anniversary celebration. From amphibians to astronauts, they’ve got something for everyone! There will also be fun giveaways, a time capsule, and a look back at its rich history.

Saturday, September 14

Frogs in Space: Ohio Amphibians

  • Time: 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM
    Head to the Preservation Parks Pavilion to learn all about Ohio’s native frogs, with a fun space twist. Discover the incredible amphibians of Ohio and imagine them on a mission to space.

Make a Frog Craft

  • Time: 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM
    Unleash your creativity and craft your very own frog! A fun activity for kids and adults alike.

Frog Watch USA

  • Time: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
    Learn how to monitor and protect frogs in your own backyard through Frog Watch USA, a citizen science initiative aimed at protecting amphibian populations.

Far Out: Dogs in Space/Canines of Ohio

  • Time: 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM
    Ever wondered about the role of dogs in space exploration? Find out at the “Dogs in Space” exhibit, and while you’re here, learn about Ohio’s native dog breeds.

Humane Society of Delaware Ohio

  • Time: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Far Out: Spiders in Space and Close-Up

Live Insects with the Bug Man

Gallant Farm Takeover Day

    Step back in time as Gallant Farm takes over the Preservation Parks Pavilion for a full day of historic farming fun. Explore the agricultural practices of yesteryear with hands-on demonstrations.

Mystery Items

  • Time: 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Rope Making
