A special adults-only forum presented by the Olentangy Parent Programs Team (PPT) will focus on the challenges for parents in identifying and interacting with teens about drug issues.

Hidden in Plain Sight: A Drug Awareness Seminar for Adults will share with parents and those in young people’s lives the information they need to realize that a problem is present. The evening will include:

  • Mock bedroom exhibit set up by Drug-Free Delaware Coalition which shows where drugs and drug paraphernalia are hidden in plain sight – also demonstrates certain clues of drug use that may be in a bedroom.
  • Learn how youth are using technology to purchase and abuse drugs right under their parents’ watch.
  • Direct engagement with the parents – parents go through the bedroom and try to identify clues of drug use prior to a walk-through with the instructor.

Youth are not permitted to attend this seminar.

The Drug-Free Delaware Coalition is a community working together to design a drug-free county, to prevent underage drinking, the use of illegal drugs, and misuse of prescription medicines. Our partners are unified individuals and organizations from every sector of the community caring about and working together for a safer and healthier Delaware County.

The seminar will take place on Wednesday, February 12 from 7 PM to 8:30 PM at Olentangy Orange High School, 2840 East Orange Road.
