Summer’s here and the time is right for singing, celebrating, and dancing in the street with two free Main Street Delaware “Summer on Winter” concerts.
Concerts are scheduled for 7 PM June 19 and July 10 on West Winter Street between Sandusky and Franklin streets.
The Hoodoo Soul Band will take to the stage June 19, performing a crowd-pleasing mix of funk and rhythm and blues with a horn section.
The Columbus-based band promises “a unique set list while giving each song their own original treatment. The players effectively turn soul songs into standards which they deconstruct on the fly, improvising new arrangements in front of the crowd, and introducing audiences to funky, unfamiliar gems that quickly become crowd favorites.”
The band’s ever-changing repertoire can include everything from Marvin Gaye to Parliament, and Tower of Power to The Rolling Stones. Learn more at www.hoodoosoulband.com.
On July 10, The Reaganomics will bring an ’80s dance party to downtown Delaware. The Columbus-based band has been named Best Local Band and/or Best Cover Band in Central Ohio by (614) Magazine, Columbus Monthly, and The Other Paper for the past 10 consecutive years.
Over the band’s 22-year history, The Reaganomics have shared the stage with many major acts and even performed at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Learn more at www.reaganomics.com.
