The sights and sounds of Christmas will again inhabit the streets of downtown Delaware this year, as Home For the Holidays arrives hosted by Main Street Delaware.

Included this year are:

Kickoff the Holidays — Friday, December 4

Come downtown to shop, dine, and enjoy the unveiling of some amazing window displays by our downtown businesses.

Dash for Dasher Scavenger Hunt! — December 4 – 24

Oh no! Santa has lost Dasher. Explore downtown following Santa’s clues to find his lost reindeer and have so much fun along the way!

The ultimate goal is to find Dasher, but you may find his other reindeer friends along the way too! Gain points for each reindeer you find and then drop off your completed booklet before Christmas Eve at the mailbox on the Welcome Center Front Porch for a chance to win a prize!

Pick up your booklet of clues at any of the participating locations and start your hunt. Click here for a listing.

Photos with Santa — Fridays, December 4, 11 & 18 from 6 to 8 PM, and Saturdays, December 5, 12 & 19 from 1 to 3 PM

Visiting Santa will be a little different this year, but we are committed to continuing this fun, community favorite tradition! We are taking all of the appropriate precautions to ensure this is a safe experience for everyone involved.

There will be no physical contact with Santa this year, but there will be an opportunity to purchase a printed photograph for $10 by professional photographer, Kathy Brady of For His Glory Photography! Photos by reservation, will take place at the Delaware Welcome Center (20 E William Street).

If visiting Santa in person isn’t your style this year, drop off your letter to Santa in the North Pole Post mailbox on the front porch of the Welcome Center!

Holiday Shop Hop — Sunday, December 6 at 3 PM

Tune in to Main Street’s Facebook live stream for exclusive deals from some of your favorite downtown establishments! Have your phones ready to call in and claim your deal!
