As the holiday season approaches, People in Need (PIN) is once again stepping up to support Delaware County families and seniors who could use a helping hand. The 2025 Holiday Clearing House is now accepting applications, offering gifts, winter clothing, and food for those in need.

Who Can Apply

The program is open to both families with children who live permanently in the home and to senior-only households. Applications will be accepted until 3:00 PM on Friday, October 3, or until the program reaches its cap of 525 approved families. Because of the high demand, PIN emphasizes that no late applications can be considered.

How to Apply

This year’s applications are available only through an online form at DelawarePeopleInNeed.org/hch. For those who need help accessing the internet or uploading documents, staff at any Delaware County District Library branch are available to provide assistance at the Information Desk.

Important Dates

Distribution will be split into two days. Seniors will pick up their holiday packages on Thursday, December 11, while Family Distribution Day is scheduled for Sunday, December 14. Both events will take place at the Delaware County Fairgrounds.

Ways to Help

The community can also support the effort through donations of food, coats, and toys. Items may be dropped off at the Delaware County Fairgrounds from Monday, December 3 through Friday, December 12, between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM on weekdays.
