The Delaware County Engineer’s Office has announced that significant roadwork will commence on Tuesday, September 3, leading to the temporary closure of South Section Line Road and partial closures on Home Road in Concord Township. The planned resurfacing is part of ongoing efforts to improve road safety and infrastructure in the area.
South Section Line Road Closure Details
Starting this week, South Section Line Road will be closed between Home Road and Butts Road. The closure will span from Home Road to the south and 7456 to the north, impacting local traffic in the Concord Township area. This closure is necessary to facilitate the resurfacing work aimed at enhancing road quality and longevity.
Home Road Paving Schedule
In addition to the South Section Line Road closure, the Delaware County Engineer’s Office will be paving a stretch of Home Road from State Route 257 to Scioto Parkway. The paving work is scheduled to take place from Tuesday, September 3, 2024, through Friday, September 6, 2024. During this time, a portion of South Section Line Road from Home Road to Price Farms Way will also undergo resurfacing, necessitating its closure for the duration of the work.
Traffic Management
While Home Road will remain open throughout the project, motorists should anticipate some delays. Traffic will be controlled using flaggers and construction cones, though short-term closures of up to 15 minutes may occur intermittently. The Delaware County Engineer’s Office assures residents that school buses and emergency vehicles will retain access throughout the construction period.
