Delaware againtransforms into a winter wonderland this holiday season, offering a unique blend of history, design, and Christmas cheer with its Holiday Home Tour. This year, the Northwest Neighborhood Association, in collaboration with the local chapter of the Daughter’s of the American Revolution, invites the community to a heartwarming event that promises to ignite the festive spirit in every attendee.

The tour offers a splendid opportunity to peek inside eight historical homes adorned with holiday decorations. It’s a self-guided exploration that begins at the vibrant hub of Delaware’s COhatch, located at 18 E William St, where the journey into yuletide enchantment starts.

Advance tickets are available for a charitable $25, while day-of purchases are $30, with proceeds directly benefiting the local community organizations. Attendees are reminded that there are no refunds or rain dates, and the properties are not ADA compliant.

The tour kicks off from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with COhatch as the first stop for ticket exchange. Participants will receive a program, which is the official ticket, along with necessary items like a map and shoe covers.

Participants are encouraged to allow 1.5 to 2 hours for the full tour. It’s a leisurely stroll through Delaware’s historic charm, with no required sequence—freedom is at your fingertips.

Tickets are mandatory for entry into each home, and the tour is strictly for ticket holders. Strollers are not allowed inside the homes, and there are no group discounts or extended hours.

Online purchases through DelawareNNA.org grant a voucher that must be exchanged for the program at COhatch on the tour day. Remember, the voucher exchange is essential even for those who have pre-purchased tickets.

This event isn’t just about celebrating the holidays; it’s a fundraiser that heartens the community’s spirit of giving, supporting valuable local organizations.

While the Home Tour is a highlight, it’s part of a series of holiday events in Delaware, including the Home for the Holidays weekend and the Fantasy of Lights display, adding more sparkle to the season.
