The weather really hasn’t started to turn cooler yet, but there is a general sense that fall is on the way.

The recent start of school is, of course, an indicator of that change. That’s why the first week of September is often a time to celebrate the return to school — a welcome event for student AND for parents!

Next month’s Main Street Delaware “Back to School” First Friday, to be held on Friday, September 2 from 6 to 9 PM, will be a time to do just that. This year’s event is presented by Delaware Christian Church.

Included will be:

• Inflatables, games, rock climbing wall, and multiple other FREE activities for kids and families

• Live music from local bands

• Local school groups and clubs

• Raffles & Giveaways

Supporting investors are Performance Delaware and Sheetz.

The First Friday Shuttle will be available during the event, with the shuttle rotating every 15 minutes. You can park your car and catch a ride in the County Lot at 145 North Union Street.
